Ariel (アリエル Ari Eru): are a type of Faerie.

Ariels are known for being very small compared to humans, each being similar in size to a small bird. They generally have a humanoid form, with the exception of their wings and feet which resemble those of a bird, their antennae, which have an insect-like look to them, and can come in a wide range of shapes and their ears which are pointed thus having an elf-like look to them.

Some Ariel also possess a tail feather and/or a tuft of feathers on their chest. Their skin comes in a pale colour and their eyeballs are black with red irises, their hair can come in a wide range of colours and styles, as mentioned before Ariels have bird-like feathery wings, that are joint to their shoulders, which are commonly a shade of green in colour, thus they are able to fly. Unlike humans, Ariels don't appear to have any reproductive organs, therefore are most likely sexless, though they do appear to have genders, those being male or female.

All the Ariels seen so far in the series, do not wear clothes.

Personality Traits

Though overall personalities vary amongst the Ariels, they are in general, said to be quite mischevious, despite their innocent appearance.

Ariels, are also attracted to anything new, especially Sleigh Beggy Mages, according Elias Ainsworth, once a pact between an Ariel or Ariels and a Sleigh Beggy is established, the Sleigh Beggy will become like a Queen Bee, which the Ariels will serve as worker bees, they can bring fortune or misfortune to the Queen Bee, as Elias poetically put it.

Some Ariels prefer to be called Neighbors, rather than Faeries.
